This is the latest wild and wacky development, the Xlider, from the world of weird, wonderful and extreme sports that you normally only see on the telly early on a Sunday morning before T4 starts.

This latest bit of kit is a combination of the skateboard and roller skates – one for each foot. To learn they are linkable so you can master the movement and then as you get better you can separate them and work with one on each foot. The body movement to gain speed and momentum is a great aerobic work out working the tum, waist and hip regions – lets face it we all need that at some stage! The Xlider improves balance and can be used even in small spaces such as the narrow long corridors in the office, the living room, park etc.

The movements made when using this are similar to snowboarding (without the snow of course so very handy with this climate change we are supposed to be experiencing) and skateboarding. The wheels are of the highest quality to ensure endurance and durability.

The Xlider can be put in a sports bag and carried around. In a modern lime green colour these will certainly get you noticed in the park. While suitable for all ages and safe you are of course advised to wear the usual helmet and protective gear associated with all these types of sport.
