Some things are designed to go together. Fish and chips are a prime example. As is pie and mash.

Even ketchup and mayonnaise for those of us with a sophisticated, cosmopolitan pallet. The fact is that some things belong together just like Powerbuzz magnets.

Powerbuzz magnets are two highly polished obelisk-style creations (about 6cm tall) that are compelled no matter what you attempt to do, to cling to one another.

Using cunning magnetic trickery, the two magnets appear to repel and attract one another. Pull one end of one of them away from the other and they'll feverishly attempt to rejoin each other, clashing into each other as they go and tapping away at each other like two little sculpted John Bohnams.

When the spheres are thrown into the air, they rotate around each other causing an electric, buzzing sound until they fall. A strangely addictive and stylish curiosity and a great way to unwind after a day of hiring/firing.

There are endless ways in which to play with their fascinating magnetic prowess. We reckon they're the executive toy for the 21st century.

In any case, you'll be mesmerised with them for months on end, trying to figure out how they work is half the fun of owning them but we can pretty much guarantee that just as you think you've got them sussed, their behaviour will confound you once more.

Warning: Highly magnetic. As with any magnet, keep them away from electronic equipment that may be sensitive to magnets.

Bought them for hubby's birthday. Brilliant! When he put them down to go near the computer, I picked them up. The sound they make is like nothing else we've ever heard, and we're ancient! When their unpredictablility becomes predictable it just adds to the fun!I would recommend buying a second set for more tricks and competitions if you're a pair.
