Now this is what we like to call 'clever'. Originally designed as a children's educational toy, the Star Theater 2 is just at home in an adults-only house.

The globe has an internal lamp, allowing it to project constellations onto your ceiling and walls, giving the impression of a full 360-degree planetarium.

The effect is stunning and lets children and adults a like learn all about the positions of the stars.

You can even introduce comets and other solar effects into the mix and to ensure that everything is just as it should be for that time of year, the Star Theater also has a calendar, so you can input the details and have an exact replica of the night sky on your ceiling.

In fact, the only difference between this and the real night sky is that it's portable, so you can take it round your mates house for an impromptu astronomy/astrology session.

At college I used to have those glow stars on my ceiling which looked cool at night, but this is a step above. I recommend this.
