Anyone who's found themselves on the receiving end of a 240-volt mains electric shock will know that it smarts a bit.

Now you can put a friend through something similar at the touch of a trigger, thanks to our neat Shocking Guns.

Strap on a sensor, grab your gun and career round the office firing off shots at each other in a bid to avoid a nasty shock. Each Shocking Guns kit comprises two breastplates and two guns, strap on the breastplate, hit the guns reset button and you're away.

The idea is to be the first to knock out your opponent's six lives by scoring direct hits on his breastplate. There are two levels to choose from: if you select the lower shock level, meaning you get a painful but not excruciating electric shock every time you get hit, then you'll knock one life off your opponents counter with each direct hit.

If you select the higher shock level, however, then to reward your bravery you knock off two lives from your opponent with each direct hit but get a far more potent shock whenever you get hit.

Do you gamble on getting stung on the higher setting, or make it easy on yourself with the low setting? Either way, it's a gamble.

This has got to be one of the most painful fun I have experienced. Paintballing is nowhere near the excitement of being electricuted. Why spend so much renting land or paying for paintballs when all the fun you can have comes under a one off payment of £30? This has an unbelievably long lasting fun EVERYTIME it is played. I highly recommend this product if you are into thrills and excitement. What`s more fun than seeing your friend lying on the floor begging for mercy?

I got two packs of two for my Birthday and I then had my party based around them! It's so scary! Half my party members seemed to want to buy their own, and the other half were saying it's better than paintballing ( to tell you the truth, it is). I've just been paintballing and it hurts like mad when you get hit and it's more messy. For a cheaper, less messy and less painful alternative to paintballing...THIS IS IT!

When I was researching these guns I couldn't find a decent review any where. The only reviews I found were a few words long and were all positive. So I decide to write my review telling you the things you want to know. The range of these guns is actually good this was my main concern before buying them because no sit told me the range except from a few which said 5 or 10 metres. These ranges are luckily wrong, I tested the range of the guns in my garden and I was making my sister scream from around 40-50 metres but this did require a good aim. The guns are also silent apart from when shooting which is a big plus. The sound effects they make are also very good. I brought 3 pairs of these guns and they all link together creating two teams of three a side. Altogether these guns were an excellent buy and I have been pleased with them and recommend them to anyone who was considering buying.

Wow, what great fun. as soon as me and my girlfriend opened these we just couldn’t wait to get zapping. Whoever said that guns were just for boys was wrong, my girlfriend was just as excited to use these as I was. I’ve been to quasar, and you don't want to get shot playing that, but with these shocking guns the added effect of getting an electric shock made you quiver in fear which added to the adrenaline rush. We both couldn't help laughing when we got a hit or got hit, it was a real rush. We were screaming so loudly that we had our neighbours banging on the wall; it seems a shame that when we get confronted we will have to tell them it was good clean fun, whether they believe us or not remains to be seen. My rating, 10/10
