Sometimes there is nothing better than having a quiet drink with friends. Apart from a raucous, alcohol-fuelled evening of mayhem perhaps. And who doesn't have a cupboard full of alcoholic oddities which you just can't face drinking? Like creme de menthe, Frangelico, poire alexander and that bottle of cactus-flavoured muck you picked up on your last Balearic holiday...

The Roulette Game Spin n Shot could provide the basis for both a great night in with mates and a way to get rid of all that nasty liquid evil in your drinks cabinet. Everyone has seen a roulette table and most of us even know how to play it, but instead of providing a way to lose serious cash, the Spin n Shot introduces a level of fear and excitement unavailable through traditional gambling.

How? Well each number on the roulette wheel has an accompanying glass shot glass (they even come in black and red to match the roulette wheel). Fill each glass with a liquid poison of your choice (they don't have to be the same) and the game is ready to go.

Each player now takes it in turns to spin the wheel and drink the contents of the glass attached to the number of their spin. Once complete, the next player to the left takes a spin and a drink and on it goes. Presumably until someone falls over.

The apprehension attached with each spin ("please, not the Campari again") is palpable, providing a compelling and enjoyable incentive to the game. And it only gets more tense the longer the game goes on. The Spin n Shot can be played by two to eight players at a time to cater for intimate drinking sessions or all out gatherings.

Once the novelty of a straight drinking game has worn off, you can adjust the rules to your liking. Try substituting half the alcoholic drinks for chilli sauce for instance. The choice is yours. Let your imagination run wild!
