I like the fact that I can set my Raptor to alert me when my flatmate tries to enter my room without knocking. He got so freaked out, I'm sure he'll think twice next time. Watch out - Roboraptor's about!

People tell us that dinosaurs are extinct. Utter rubbish. We've got our very own, hunting bi-pedal behemoth right here and no-one can argue with that. Admittedly, he's battery-powered and a fairly modest (in dinosaur terms) 32 inches long but he does possess all the characteristics of a classic dinosaur - you know, fierce, big teeth, funny walk etc.

Roboraptor might come with a controller but he's no dumb, r/c beast. While you can program him to do your bidding or control his every movement via the controller, he's also capable of independent thought.

Approach him while he's hunting and you'll be met with a fierce rebuttal but bend down to pat him on the head when he's in playful mood and he'll nuzzle your hand like an over-affectionate puppy. Bless. As well as hunter and playful modes, there's a third - cautious - where Roboraptor will react to any approaching life-form with suspicion.

Touch sensors mounted all over his body allow you to interact with good ol' Robo while he wanders about the place and if he's feeling particularly full of beans he can even run at a fair old lick across the carpet. If we weren't rugged, manly chaps we'd tell you we were getting quite attached to him. But we won't. Oh, but he is cute, isn't he? That's quite enough of thatﾅ
