Robomop Softbase
How Clean is YOUR House?

Great product. Never have to vaccum your hard floors again. I an sure sometimes that has a mind of it's own. it does a very thorough job of it too.

I was a bit sceptical at first about buying a gadget for only 30 quid that claimed to clean my house automatically, but after a week of using it I'm so impressed I thought I'd send you this review. My house has 4 bedrooms, and all rooms have wooden floors except for 1 which has carpet. The Robomop handles the wooden floors brilliantly, and scouts around all rooms avoiding all objects, cleaning as he goes. As you say, it's not suitable for carpet, but would imagine it works well on any flat harder flooring. Well worth it.

New model: The original Robomop has been updated to include a softbase for easy cleaning of corners, and also has a more powerful motor (RRP £44.99).
Even Bruce Willis has one and loves it as he demonstrated on the David Letterman show!
We all know what it is like in the busy, busy world we live in..... too cream crackered when we get in at night to do the domestic bit; we just want to have fun. Life is too short, we work too hard, we HATE housework. With this thought in mind a clever chappy from the Nordic part of the world conjured up the wonderful idea of inventing a robotic dusting machine, you watch it do the work.
The RoboMop will run across your floor, and clean a 60 square metre surface with 98% accuracy in 1 hour. The 8.5 centimetre low mop actually cleans areas where you usually do not clean yourself like under sofas, beds and cupboards. (Where the real amounts of dust piles up).
If you've got rooms with laminate, lyno, tiled, or wooden floors (in fact anything hard, so not carpet) this helpful little chap will save you hours and hours of cleaning each month leaving you free to enjoy life to the max. Just watch the video clip at the above link to see the Robomop in action. The Robomop has a rechargeable battery inside it so you do not have to buy any batteries for it. You just plug him into the mains (with the supplied adaptor) when he needs a charge.
When charged you just set the desired clean time via it's LCD display, attach an electrostatic dust pad, and then place it on the floor. The robomop contains a clever 'movement brain' making it move around your floor randomly, and also this makes it very unlikely to get stuck as it just moves in the other direction. It's great for getting under sofas (and saving you back pain) As this is the new model, it also has a soft base so it can get into and easily clean corners.
This clever little ball of tricks AKA the Robomop is charged up and a special electrostatic pad is placed on the bottom. It is then placed in the cleaning area and is good to go. You stipulate how long it scoots about your floor collecting dust. When the time is up simply pick up and put the cloth in the bin complete with all that yucky dust (99% of which is human dead skin û aaagh).
This reminds us of those funny hamster balls we used to have as kids with the poor long suffering hamster running around the lounge carpet; this is way more useful and much nicer to our furry little friends.

"An autopilot floor cleaner for £30 sounds too good to be true. However, it does a surprisingly decent job on a wooden or tiled floors." THE SUNDAY TIMES - Gear Section
"Housework: Bane of everybody's lives. Fact. I mean, no one actually enjoys dusting and polishing do they? So this gadget is sure to bring much happiness... Beam me up Mr Pledge!" SHINY SHINY - Online Guide To Gadgets
"With the summer upon us there'll be an increasing amount of dirt and dust starting to settle on your wooden flooring. And, with all the lovely weather, there's no point spending your days mopping/vacuuming/brushing. The Robomop is a low budget version of the robotic floor cleaning machines we've seen before, though this one still gets the job done." CHANNEL 5 GADGET SHOW - Best Budget Robots

Fantastic for the price. Just done the downstairs of our house in no time. Avoids objects easily as it has a fabric housing to hold the pad in position. The housing looks metal on the website and I was concerned it may knock items over or it might chip the new paintwork - it doesn't.

My husband thinks I'm cleaning the house all day, but really I am just relaxing all day. No, seriously, this product is really good. We have laminate floors all over the house and tiled kitchen floor so it save me hours of work each week. Very clever gadget. Thanks!

Saw the Robomop in my neighbour's house and knew I had to have one! My living room is 36' long with a wood floor. How satisfying do you think it is to shut the Robomop in there, unsupervised, and know he's cleaning the place while I'm out! An absolutely fantastic invention that I intend to buy for all my friends! Not just the gift of a mop - but the gift of time.

This is the best (housewarming/birthday/Christmas) present you can get anyone with wooden floors. Removes fluff and dust while you enjoy slobbing on the sofa....so watchable and funny you'll start treating it like a pet. We use it once a week - no house should be without one.

Saw the Robomop on the This Morning TV show. Philip Schofield rated it highly and could not believe how cheap it was and he thought it was £30.

Awesome little fellow with a mind of his own. He shines my Amtico hall to a rare brightness, then casually wanders into the kitchen, where Buddy our bearded collie beams with delight. He drops a lot of hair and mud from drying paws. Who could scold a big hairy dog when he has a mate like Robo? Pals for life!

This little robot is amazing! My tiny robot friend cleaned my wooden floors unrelentingly to my astonishment and happiness. I highly recommend it if you too have wooden floors. It is very seldom that a product comes along that delivers above it's promises and your expectations. Well done!

Bought. Charged. Fitted with cloth. Switched on for 30 mins. Placed on floor. Attempted unsuccessfully to suspend sceptical look from face (complete with "yeah, right" expression, one eyebrow cocked). Laughed a lot as was chased around room by tiny scurrying robot mob. Shook head. Left room. Came back 30 minutes later and hey presto - clean floor. Removed cloth and examined dirt. Banished aforementioned sceptical look. Quickly moved to next room and repeated, less scepticism. It works. It works surprisingly well. Still do a weekly run with the Dyson, but this little gem gets switched on once or twice a week to sweep the tile & wooden floors. I can't recommend enough! Especially for those of the longhaired persuasion who are used to their hairs spawning tumbleweed dust bunnies on their hardwood floors....

I own the older version of the Robomop (the one with the solid glider) and I must say it's an amazing tool for those people who just want their household to be done in the shortest possible time. My expectations weren't that high when I first bought it, but once I set it rolling over the floor I couldn't believe my eyes! The pad was totally covered with dust eventhough I vacuumed the day before. Also it makes your floor shine. :-) If this new version even makes up for the corner problem and the batterylife, then it truly deserves an A+.. Especially taken into account that it's just 30 pounds.

I love this little darling! Can you imagine it? Getting up on your day off with a pile of washing, pots and a floor to hoover. Not any more! Just turn on the washer, dishwasher and of course, Robomop. It's very relaxing, laying on the sofa, coffee and newspaper to hand, watching this sweet little object pottering up and down doing all the dirty work. He's my new best friend and I love him. No, you can't borrow him. Buy your own.

I love my Robomop. I didn't really believe Robomop was more than a gimmick, but it really works. Also my grandson loves to chase it!

Continual rebuilding and redecoration of the house, 2 young children and the patio doors open all the time for a bit of fresh air. Our house was always dusty and gritty until Robomop appeared and I've not had to get the dustpan and brush out for weeks. 30 minutes in each room downstairs and the whole place is clean again... For £30 this is one of the best, most fun and entertaining gadgets, and brilliant cleaners I've ever seen. Hundreds of times cheaper than a hoover, more entertaining and does exactly what it says on the box...

When will you have it in stock? I have a friend who has it and it's great.

Have just had a lot of work done on the house so there is a lot of settled dust on our wooden floors. We swept the floors, mopped them twice and once dry let the Robomop loose in the house. After peeling my eyes of it 10 minutes in (I was mesmerised), I left the house for an hour and when I returned the floors were spotless and shiny!! The amount of dust it had collected on the pad was amazing, even after mopping the floor and sweeping it. A must buy for anyone with wooden floors. Brilliant invention.
