NEX IIe will continue to carry on the tradition of the NEX II to provide you with superior digital audio playback capability and support of large memory capacity in a compact package that doesn't weight like a brick. Now with the ability to draw external power source through the USB connection, NEX IIe's "smart power" capability will allow you to save battery juice during file transfers and can also be powered by an AC power adaptor alone.

But that's not all... NEX IIe is more than just a digital music player. It is also a removable portable drive. Connect NEX IIe to your PC and it appears as an extra external drive. Any files, besides MP3, can just be dragged and dropped to and from NEX IIe and the PC. There are no proprietary software or any encryption used. So NEX IIe can be used as portable device that can transfer files between computers.
