As lighters go it's pretty unique, with its cap and chain, air grids, flame locking lever, and there aren't many others that shoot out a roaring jet of blue flame at 1300 degrees C, in any direction, with one press of the electronic plunger.

I wasn`t quite sure what to expect but trust me it`s all good. This lighter is the sort of lighter you`ll be proud to get out in the pub (well at least I was). Its unusual shape and appearance makes it that bit more interesting than your average lighter but a word of warning it is very powerful and I mean it so powerful I set my tash alight the first time I used it and that was just before I nearly wet my pants! If you don`t have one GET ONE even if you don`t smoke they are just worth having!

This will absolutely decimate anything! I find myself just burning stuff to see if I can! Just be careful you don`t turn into a pyromaniac. I was almost normal until I bought one. Not great as a fag lighter cos it annihilates the end of your bifta.

More of a blow torch than a lighter but certainly gets you noticed down the local. Great fun when people ask you for a light. Just be sure you don`t burn their eyebrows off!

I do a lot of trekking so I am always on the lookout for light but dependable equipment - the Blue PB 270 caught my eye as there is nothing worse then being unable to start a fire due to high wind and rain - at first I thought it might be a bit pricey, but it has been worth every penny from the start - it has never let me down and I have had continuous use of it since purchase. As a sailor, I find this very useful for lighting cigarettes while staying on the deck. It simply refuses to be blown out, and the flame becomes incredibly hot. I also think the protective cap is a great idea, because with other lighters, I keep burning my pants.

Fantastic - I've had mine for years... So much fun, it burns anything. First tank of pre-filled fuel is awesome, the flame never goes out, but when filled with regular butane, it isn't quite as good. God knows what they fill it with, but I want some more.
