Customer Reviews:

A friend of mine as one of the original Ion/Numark models and he is so jealous. My Kam one looks so much better. It just oozes class and coolness!

I have been looking for a suitable turntable for a while with the intention of digitizing my record collection. Having looked at models from Ion/Numark, I decided on this model from KAM. It arrived within a couple of days, extremely well packaged. The KAM turntable is very sturdy, has a metal platter, and is very well made and good looking. A couple of reasons why I chose this over the Ion/Numark, it plays 78's without software intervention, and it also features a tone arm lift which raises a small cueing bar which enables you to swing the tone arm over the record and lower it via the cueing lever. It is extremely well dampened and lowers and raises the tone arm ever so gently. Once I got it to play through my PC's soundcard's line-in via the 2 Phono to mini jack lead (supplied), it sounds superb with excellent stereo separation. I wanted to use it with Roxio's Easy Media Creator 9, but couldn't for the life of me monitor the recordings through the speakers using the supplied USB cable. I can monitor the sound using the included Audacity software, but it saves the files in its own native file type, so I couldn't record with Audacity and open with Roxio. But you can record and save with Roxio, and then open the files in Audacity. A nice touch is the included target light which helps you to see where to lower the tone arm on the record. The pitch control is useful, but I found the turntable speed accurate for what I want without the use of the pitch control. It also has a line & Phono switch at the back so you can connect it directly to your PC without the use of a pre-amp. The only niggle is trying to hear or monitor what you're recording using Roxio using the USB cable, though it works fine using the phono cable. All in all, a fantastic turntable!

We tested a fair few USB turntables before deciding on adding the Kam BDX900 USB Turntable (RRP £139.95) to our range. In our opinion it has the best finish and workmanship of any USB turntable under £200. It really is a brilliant product...

Sadly we have seen the demise of the old vinyl music turntables. Kids everywhere wonder what those funny black things are that parents keep stashed in cupboards. Never will they experience the rush of buying their current favourite single with their pocket money and playing it until the grooves wore out, sorry we digress - nostalgia and all that.

With a USB turntable you can relive that era and replay your records. Our Kam BDX900 USB Turntable is a must for those who want to take their LPs and singles and make them digital. You will have the best of both worlds; your most loved tunes can be played with the scratches as you remember or converted to MP3 for a streamlined sound on your MP3 Player. You can also convert them onto CD if you wish.

Kam's BDX900 USB Turntable is available from us @ Paramountzone.com now, and is the only product at the lower end of the market that natively plays 78's without software conversion. It also features a 10% pitch control, and s-shaped tone arm.

This USB Turntable is compatible with any software that supports USB audio input sound cards (just plug it into a spare USB port). It also has the added bonus of not requiring special drivers for Windows (98,2000,XP,Vista) or Mac (OS9 and above).

This USB Turntable will work with both MAC and WINDOWS operating systems. You just plug it into your computers USB port, and download both the Audacity Installer and Lame Mp3 Encoder, available free at this link.
