And, of course, playing the drums happens to be even more fun than mucking about on a an electric guitar thanks to its ballsy, no-nonsense approach to making a noise. Slap a drumstick against a finely tuned drum and you'll be hooked forever.

Sadly, drumkits are generally hulking great things that take up entire rooms, making it difficult to eat, sleep, or swing a domestic animal around. Yet again, we have a solution.

It comes in the form of a plug 'n' play USB drum kit that'll have you smacking the skins in no time and giving Tico Torres (Bon Jovi's drummer for the uninitiated) a run for his money.

Our USB Roll-Up Drum Kit has 6 different pad areas which can be preselected to different sounds by the programme. 3-level learning feature helps to teach users how to play and there is a play along option, too. Users can record their own beats and share with friends by sending via e-mail.

The supplied software is brilliant and very easy to use (see screenshot below), and will turn your computer/laptop into an advanced drum kit (see full specifications below).

Who knows, after a few minutes 'screen break' on this kit each day, you could be auditioning for Kiss. Or perhaps The Cheeky Girls comeback tour is more likely. Ahem.
