Drinking can bring out the competitive edge in even the meekest of chaps. Why even our local vicar is known to start placing hefty wagers on the outcome of the next fight in our local.

Well, now you can settle one of the most common of pub-based competitions in a scientific manner by using our Slammer Timer.

If its accurate stats you're after from your inebriated wagering, then you've come to the right place, since the Slammer time will show you the fastest drinking time on its central LCD readout.

To begin playing all you need is three or four contestants, a shot glass each and some noxious, overtly alcoholic liquid to put in it. Place the full shot glasses on each race pad and knock your shot back as quickly as possible before slamming the glass back down on the race pad.

The winner is the one who completes the task fastest and gets to sit out the next round, meaning the drinker who's consistently slowest is destined for a particularly sore head the next morning.

Either that or the promise of extreme drunkenness is making him a touch on the slow side deliberately. A tactic worth bearing in mind, especially if someone else is paying.
