This is no ordinary training aid, mind you, the Garmin feature Virtual Partner technology, allowing you to configure it to audibly alert you when you're falling behind the pre-determined pace. The Forerunner 101 has similar functionality to its bigger brother, the 201, but has the advantage of running on 2xAAA batteries, making it the perfect, take-anywhere slave-driver. Stats fans will rejoice in the handy two-year lap memory that records intricate details of your workouts, ready for instant retrieval at the touch of a button. Oh, and ditch that crappy Casio watch you've been wearing since school, too, since this doubles as a massively techy watch into the bargain. The perfect way to stave off the ‘junk food paunch.
