This detailed AH-64 Apache helicopter is great for relative beginners, but fun for experts too. If you're totally new to the world of remote control helicopters we would recommend you try one of our 2 channel helicopters first, as this 3 channel helicopter is a bit more challenging.
But once you master the controls the thrill it gives you is out of this world. You really have to fly this machine to truly realise how addictive and fun it is. And while your learning the ropes, crash damage is limited due to the rotors being on hinges so they fold if they hit anything rather than breaking.
Everything that is required to get you into the air as quickly as possible is included in the pack. OMG - RC Helicopters have really come down in price! I got one with similar specs to this 5 years ago and it cost me £500. I've flown a few RC helicopters in my time and this Apache is one of the easiest higher level models. If you've got a large room it really does help to stop crashes if you lose control. Recommended. Got this for Christmas. My friend got a Walkera 52 6 channel remote heli, im glad I got this one, because after the first few tries I got the hang easily. Scary when you first get it up about 20 ft but rewarding when you swoop down and land. Highly rate. Darren Hollingsworth - Driffie
What a powerful and beautiful machine. This is a high quality, top class heli and can't be beaten for its price. The details of the RC are spot on, the flashing LED will ensure that night flying will give neighbours a fright... then lead them to wanting one themselves! Easy to trim and fine tune the controls, my first use saw it hit the 9ft roof in a flash and certainly gave the girlfriend a fright. She has now banished me to using it in the garden/field when in low wind and this is where it comes to life. The 3D flight will see it act just like its real big brother and believe me when i say it will attract many keen viewers. I would recommend buying spare blades as if you are flying it in a tight area there are bound to be a few scrapes and crashes before you perfect the control, and you don't want to be left with such a wonderful machine that you can't fly! This is a great helicopter! So easy to control compared to others! You just set the thrust to how high you want to hover, then move around with the other stick, adjusting the thrust every now and then! It is that easy!
