Back in the 80s huge tape-playing ghetto blasters were the only way to play music when out and about. Of course, we’ve all got tiny portable MP3 players now, but here’s a way to share music that brings back memories of giant boom boxes – although, in a much smaller and more convenient format.

This tiny speaker is styled to look like a 1980s Boom box and is compatible with all dock-equipped iPods and iPhones. A big advantage of this mini-speaker over the old-fashioned ghetto blasters is that there’s no need for batteries – it’s completely powered by your device.

The twin stereo speakers have an output of 0.25W so it’s not quite as loud as the earth-shaking originals, but that’s still plenty for listening to music at your desk or in your bedroom.
