Any party host worth his or her salt will know the importance of leaving strategically placed cans and bottles around the place to receive cigarette butts before they make costly contact with carpet but the trouble with cans and bottles is that while they're quite happy to dispense their beery goodness, they're less than eager to receive the remnants of a spent cigarette.

Our ingenious solution, hit upon after several hundred too many raucous parties, is this bottle top ashtray. Simply place it over the neck of a bottle and watch as it not only becomes the perfect receptacle for ash but then swallows cigarette butts as if its very survival depended on it.

In fact, we've become so fond of it, we've taken to using it even when there's not a fully-fledged keg party happening under our very noses. We think it's the pinnacle of sartorial elegance - especially when teamed with a nice continental beer bottle.
