'These boots were made for walking,' sang Nancy Sinatra, and latterly The Stone Roses. Clearly, neither party had the foresight to see these anti-gravity boots looming large on the horizon of innovation. Just slip the boots over your trainers – they're adjustable to more or less any shoe size – and drink in the sensation of anti-gravity as the sole-mounted springs send you springing into orbit with the minimum of effort.

You'll be somersaulting your way to work before you know it. Be warned, though, a high profile business meeting is not the place for these boots. Neither is a wake. Or an arms convention.

These are just some of the places we've tried them to mixed results. That said, keep to the great outdoors, or perhaps a very large hall and your anti-gravity boots will provide hours of aerial enjoyment and keep you fit at the same time....
