No, the Rise and Shine has built in nature sounds and a light that gradually illuminates your room, copying the natural, gradual sunrise.
You can select from a wide range of soothing sounds including; birds singing, ocean waves, brook, summer night, rain, dawn, heartbeat, beep, phone tone or traditional alarm bell.
Please note: The light is not designed to be a lamp and fully light a room, and just gives very low level lighting, to maximise its therapeutic effect. The way the alarm works is that at first the there is no light and calming nature sounds occur. Then, when you gently tap the top of the clock to acknowledge the sounds, a gradual lighting starts to occur.
